DEAR DIARY ;

We brought Tenor to the vet a week ago for his first jab. It was his first trip out and he was trembling really hard while we were on our way. Thank God it's only for a short trip or I would have no idea how to calm him down. We went to Mount Pleasant at Bedok South since it's one of the few clinics we know of and is nearby.

So..being his first visit, we got to register him and take his weight and everything. He's 1.5KG only. At least, we can stop guessing how heavy he is at home already.

While waiting for the Vet to be ready, we took turns to take photos with dear Tenor to calm him down. He was so scare stiff that he doesn't even wanna move, he just lied still and whine. Dad says its normal and he assume its becuase there's a Vet aura that the dog can sense.

Not scientifically proven though and both Mom and I refused to believe in his warp theory of vet smells and clinic aura. Sounds logical but fake at the same time.

Finally after quite a while of waiting, its Tenor's turn to get his jab. Like our previous two dogs, Toto and Coco, the vet did a check on Tenor's eyes, legs, fur and everything else that has to be check. And she mention " He's so cute" five times before telling us everything is okay and he is a healthy little puppy.

She told us to give him 3 meals a day because like babies, puppies are easily hungry too and have to be fed more. Besides, he's a little too skinny. So we have started to feed him at 7am, 3pm and 10pm now. Hopefully he gets fat.

After all the checks, the vet proceeded to ask us some questions about Tenor before moving on to the jab. Check out the picture below, I circled the injection that was for Tenor and it just SO freak Tenor out! Oh and I was so amused by the healthcard of Tenor (on the right). And he has an appointment a month later for his second jab and another one again for his third.

And tadah! This is the jab pushing the injection in, she warn us that Tenor may run away or bark very loudly so we were quite prepared. Dad was in charge of holding Tenor's head because we were afraid that he would bite. But apparently, Tenor was very brave. He just whine once and that's it.

The vet said that he may feel tired and all but oh no, he was active and everything when he went home. He even wanted to play catching with us. Cool little Tenor! :)

So proud of him on his first visit.

And for now, he doesn't sleep in the cage any more. He has his own mini bed beside Mom and would occasionally try to jump on the bed. He can't go on the bed as of now yet because he's still tiny, but we are guessing that in another two weeks time he would be able to.

Hopefully by then he would be paper trained already. Or can go to the toilet to pee by himself. :)

<33 Tenor!
