DEAR DIARY ;

Tomorrow morning I would be going to ....

with my family, the whole group with us with my cousins to visit my uncle there and chill.

Thank God I am done with my PP poster so I can really go and relax, take a lot of photos and get away from the laptop. (: Very looking forward. :D:D:D

In the meantime, I shall entertain you all with TP's LM photos.

I've enjoyed the fellowship with the TP crusaders and enjoyed watching them as they were playing games noticing their smiles and laughter and even the cooperativeness. (: This is what happens when the body of Christ unites.

& in Ben's blog, the prayer movement alike picture. It's really really amazing how God is leading and working in each of us that we yearn to come together to fellowship to share and to just hear him speak to us through our friends , through the message and even through games!!

May this body of Christ continue to grow with us spurring each other on, encouraging one another and constantly walk with our eyes fix on the cross. (:

Before I end.. I want to share with you one question I took back from the LM from Nicholas...

How far would you actually go?

I am still reflecting.

DEAR DIARY ;

Credits to Jacqueline's Face book account! ((:

* HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACQUELINE! *
Even when you are in the US, you are not forgotten (; and even more dearly remembered on this special day of yours.

There's never ending amount of laughter , noise and whining when you are around. But of course, it brought us lots of joy ...even if it is in the midst of teasing you.

Guess it wouldn't be easy to be alone in US, but don't forget you have our daddy above with you to see you through every struggle and obstacles and each moment you think you can't! & you can listen to the song that was written for you when you miss us back home and be assured that you are praying for you here! (:

We love you when you are eating like a glutton....

and when you are super unglam...
even when you have the retarded look on your face. HAHA...
and when you look seriously bored. (:
even those time you do your bimbo dances ....
even more so when you are looking dirty and smelling horribly...
or simply being you.
what we love the most is the smile on your face...
and you are always a part of us. No matter how badly we teased you, how much we torture you...

Missing those drama watching moments with you.

Remember to update your blog and call us back to let us know how you are.

See you back on 15th Dec! ((:

Have a blessed 19th birthday there. And don't forget our presents when you are coming back! (:
Don't worry, the age don't matter cos' we still look young! * Haha!

DEAR DIARY ;

Let me first shout out : " HAPPY BIRTHDAY JEROME !! "

We pre-celebrated it yesterday at Miss Clarity Cafe. I suggested, no one objected so tadah! here we are! (; & the biggest deal of this whole cafe is its color. Nicely blended. (; .. and hot pink.

You won't miss it even if you are quite a distance. The colors stands out!

And during lunch time , it is rather affordable. You can get set meal at less than 10 bucks. Plus further discount for students and passion card members . (; This is the front of the shop, I was so captivated by it that I kept walking out to peek. I mean.. its simple decorations but it was beautifully matched. (;
And here's for the signboard. Makes the whole street feels so Hong Kong. Haha! (; and the girl looks so adorable. I was so amazed by everything even though I've been there before. I think it really takes little to amaze me.
Oh and the menu. Once I laid my hands on it, it became my camera next target. I got so many photos of the menu that people might have thought I was a spy from the same industries. I was captivated, so much I wanted to bring it home. It's just so femine! ;p
Okay, the big shot of the day.. the birthday boy selecting from his menu and looking so intently like he is spoiled by choice. Actually I am the one who is spoiled for choice. (; There are plenty to choose from I cannot even decide.
Here's Jem, fascinated by the power ranger watch cum hand phone. I wanna laugh so badly when I see the expressions on their faces yesterday at different intervals. They look so funny!!!! And especially so when we were having our chats. It was so amusing and everything that I forgot totally what we talked about but I am so certain we discuss about our crusades. (;

Oh, and that's ben. Look at his hands .. he was doing CPR on the chicken!!!! I don't know why but we were talking about suicide cases suddenly and he was sharing with us and on the other hand learning the correct way of performing CPR.. (poor chicken though!)
Jerome took this when we were eating..and to my astonishment, this is the only eating picture. Which means we were having so much fun that we totally forgot the camera. Haha! (; Good food, Good sharing , Good place to dine.. Good companions not to mention special occasion. :D
Here's the recommendation. Some chicken thing. I forgot but don't worry its in the menu. (like duh!) Haha! I don't know how it is though but it sure look appetizing when it first came.
Here's mine - Pan seared dory. It's mouth licking delicious, especially when you eat it with the potato. I don't know why there was a lot of mayo on the top though, so fattening and so .. saucy. But as a whole, it was fabulous. :D And the quantity is just right...for me that is.

Evident because I couldn't take dinner when I got home :( & my maid cooked my favorite.
The super nice ice cream that everyone gives thumbs up too. It's not the ice cream you always it.. it tastes a little different and very richly filled. (; If you are there , leave some tummy for the ice cream and enjoy it slowly. It doesn't melt very quickly , so no worries. Take your time to taste the flavor.
After that I was to fake Jerome out while they get the 'cake' . Apparently, either Jerome was easy to fake or he's playing along, we went out to take photo with the girl, ya, the back drop. And we took turns. But I am only posting Jerome's up cos he was the main person of the day !! :D
This is our so called 'cake'. Very innovative right. Since the cakes there aren't as appealing as their ice cream. Our initial plot was to let him blow the candles and snatch the ice cream away. But being nice people , we allowed him to eat it all up in the end.

We are so nice to him.. right Jerome?! ;p
I think this is the most real.. not posing smile that I have of Jerome. We sure were glad to be able to be there and share Jerome's joy on his special day of being 20 as well as celebrating with him and ... just gathering , chilling together. (:
And the people from TP (; So glad they could make it and join us, the presence itself have already mean a lot. (; Not to mention all those funny funny talks since Nick was there.

Nice getting to know the new year 1 crusader too . :D
The only group photo we had. The waiter took it for us cos' self timer won't work (: And I don't know whats with Nick.. maybe he got a cramp on his face when the photo was taken ! Haha. But the rest of us, we looked good , somehow.

Our next stop was NLB's toilet. Weird I know but thats because the toilet at the cafe was cramped and NLB was the next best thing. Walk past FOOD FOR THOUGHT and lag there thinking of someone who wrote about the place before Ben and I shouted super loudly " Joelle! " Thank God there wasn't anyone around. Haha!

Parted at cityhall and went on separate ways. The weird thing was, we walked back to Tecman and got books and train back from bugis again. But thats after taking snaps of Wuzun of course and I managed to record the interview. Damn pro! (; (Thank you!)

It was seriously a nice time out.
Once again, Happy 20 Jerome! (: Have a blessed one! :D

* Thursday *
I am so glad that I dragged myself off the bed to come for prayer meeting today because it was very refreshing and very reflecting. (; It's not so much of the time we are praying but rather the heart for the prayer.

As usual, I check my mails once I am in class and came across this article where this part stands out : " Let's put on the apron of humility to serve one another.
When you talk to the lonely student, befriend the weary mom, you love Jesus. He dresses in the garb of the overlooked and ignored. Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me” (Matt. 25:40 MSG)
Hope it encourages you all as well (:
Anyway, I'm back for more thanksgiving. This is such a happening week.

First and foremost , I got to say I feel so pleased to be someone my brother can look up to. Especially during these months. We are beginning to have more heart to heart chats that really warm me and I hope that by listening to his problems he would feel better.

Oh, & thank God for the good literature results that he received. He got the highest in class and I'm so proud of him. But happier because he sms-ed me first thing when he received it, and thats what really counts.

I finally got a taste of how heartening it is to share the joy and troubles of a love one. (; & I know for sure God is working in him as he starts to take on role to learn and serve.

Second, I want to thank God for Kwang Li and my secondary school pal. They got saved recently and I'm amazed at how God work. Although my secondary school pal took a rather long time, but God never gave up and is continuously working in her. What amazed me was the very fact that she got saved with FAMILY SUPPORT (her family was rather a tough nut to crack! Haha!).

As for Kwang Li, it was a major surprise. I think I would have hit lun siong if he was right in front of me. Haha! If you all remembered, he is the guy that came for TP's LM as well as SOP (the 3rd day) and.. at that time he was not convinced yet.. but in a matter of months, he got saved, together with his friend. (;

God is indeed working in his own way and own time. So let's be encourage to continue to pray, care and share. (;

There's just so much to thank God for that I lost count. It's confirm more than what my fingers and my toes. (; It's an overflowing amount of blessings that have been coming in and I am thankful for everything.

Gleefully : Tomorrow is Friday!

P.S : Please pray for Jacq. Tan in US who is unwell with fever and running nose (;

DEAR DIARY ;

Okay, this post is long over due-d considering the fact that mid autumn festival has passed us long time ago. Even the bakeries aren't selling mooncake anymore (yet I crave for it now).

This lantern festival was as usual spent in church. The only difference being, I wasn't helping out in the children's class. & I dragged the youths out for some reasons.

& boys being boys tried to be funny.
They wanted to burn this and burn that and create big fat fire so that we can have fun without gaining all the attention but how on earth would that be possible?

1.) Unless no one is in church.
2.) Or everyone in church suddenly have flu so they can't smell the smoke
3.) Everyone joins in and the church gets burn
4.) They can't see too.
5.) They see no evil , hear no evil

Otherwise, it would be discovered. Seriously. :/

So here's their 4 steps to the fire thing. ( Kids not advised to try this at home!)

1.)The placed the candles together and light it up, one at a time.
2.) Continue adding until their's a average fire size.
3.) Burn any available thing on hand.
Yes , they did just that. They burnt leaves, candle boxes, sticks ..
They even wanted to try burn swimsuit that drop in from the neighbour's house
4.)Have to separate fire and place them together!
I was fleeing for my own life then, so there's no pictures. I am so sorry.
BUT
my life is very very precious!!!!!

They were so united in doing this that there was not even one different opinion. They basically agreed to everything readily, including taking pictures with me. Haha! :D

After they ended the whole session of "fun", it became their secret.

So now, we have a secret. But being nice, I'm telling you too. You can try to visualize the fun, and me being very terrified for my life, holding the camera with shivering hands praying that the fire won't get too overboard and burn me alive.

It brings back the good old days.
We did the same thing too. (:

I want to eat MOON CAKE!!!
I want to eat MOON CAKE!!!
I want to eat MOON CAKE!!!

DEAR DIARY ;

I've got to say this. cos I am overwhelmed with happiness, joy whatever.

MY PP IS FINALLY APPROVED!!!!

I was just grumbling to my secondary pals that my adviser is constantly asking me to rework and I am feeling pretty uptight and stress about it.. I was still thinking of doing it on Friday night so I have ample time BUT the shocker came when I received an email to say that yesterday was the dateline.

So I went home (late!) and sat down comfortably with every thing I need in sight and 'chiong' all the day for two hours. Submitted it in just 5 min before deadline. Phew!

And I still thought I would have to rework again.

BUT .. it was APPROVED!!

& it came by as a real shock, cos I didn't think what I wrote would be sufficient! :p

But through the process of doing my PP , I've learn a lot and am thankful for all the silent support from my family. Like my dad not hurrying me but slept on the floor while I was working on PP on his bed. & my brother who stop disturbing me when I was working. Not forgetting my dear cousin Priscilla who never fails to encourage me when I lost all confidence in completing it on time.

Of course, my dear DGL wanteng as well. (: Love all of you. (:

And most importantly, I want to thank my adviser for his patience with me although he rejected my work millions of time!!!!! but I am grateful that he was willing to fork out time for me to discuss what has to be done and encourage me along the way through emails.. telling me that

"You can do it" "Just a bit more, cheers" "You are almost there"

It really provided the motivation to work a little more.

And when it was approved, I couldn't believe it so I drop him a mail - " Hi Andy, is my PP approved?" . I was so excited when he replied with "Yes deborah. Half the battle won!"

I feel very encouraged and thankful to God for placing such a nice adviser in my midst because not all advisers are like that (right yvonne?)

To sum up: I'm glad PP report days are over.really glad!!!:D:D

Now PP poster to do up! (:

DEAR DIARY ;

Errrrr....oookkay ;

Three people contracted dengue via blood transmission.

I never knew that dengue could be spread like that and the very bad thing is "There are currently no licensed kits available in the market to screen donated blood for dengue." This is bad. Really bad. Why is it so that there isn't any kit to test trial it?

I am so not going to have blood transfer till they found a solution for this (anyway, I am not permitted to donate blood as well. Like the rest of my family because of some genetic issue). Will the accidental touch of blood cause dengue as well?

But through a more positive hindsight. it may be a good thing as it would push the medical people to run through checks on the bloods and this would ensure that we get good blood when we need them. So let's just have the same confidence in our health care workers just like when there was SARS.

It also goes to show the efficiency in Singapore health care system that they are already researching on the various ways to test the blood. (: This shows how responsible we are in solving problems and remain calm in adversity.

This is seriously news!
As much as the precaution would be taken into consideration, we still got to be careful! :/
