DEAR DIARY ;

From I-don't-know-which-year, it has been the church sunday school's tradition to bring the kids out for an exciting outing to somewhere fun. Although I wouldn't exactly say that the 8/8/09 outing this year was exactly ahem, erm, fun.

Here's the little kids and adult, in the also quite tradition - red shirts happily walking out of the bus. I have no idea who started the trend of wearing red on National day but I have been seeing seas of red of that day itself which is rather ironic cos national day falls on 9/8/09.

But oh well, the kids haven't been to Marina Barrage before and they sure are excited. I eavesdrop a little and heard this like :
" Can see flyer one you know! "
" Later we take picture together okay "
" Marina barrage is bridge ah? "
" I come before, my PAP teacher got bring me..."

Before everything else begins, we got into groups, with enthu youths as leaders whom apparently erm, left their group behind later on and went exploring around because it was erm, too boring. So responsible of them.

This was the view that I met with at the solar garden. I love the view and I see lots of families there either making their kites of fixing some games...which I suppose they are preparing to play with later on as a family bonding day.
I particularly like the kite above the flyer. Reminds me of primary school where I joined this make a kite contest and won something (that I don't remember what) but I am so certain its something like this, or rather same colors.

This one was taken when I climbed half the ramp. You need to walk quite a bit for nicer views of the flyer there. And I didn't really enjoyed standing under the hot sorching sun and allowing my skin to burn all because I wanted to have a good look at the flyer. But oh well. I did, eventually.

This group picture is my favorite of all. :) The brotherhood kind of feel just oozes out of them. Wherever one of them is, the rest are also. And you know, I just need to grab two of them to take a picture and all of them would come running. Titus was quite sporting as well, usually he would shy away from the camera.
Glad they share such a wonderful friendship or should I say "brotherhood".

I took this on my second trip in the gallery. I thought the boys were looking at something interesting or amusing and I got all curious until I realize they were making use of the connection to play restaurant city on facebook. Tsk. What have social media and internet done to our society, people just cannot stop being connected/online. Zz. Soon, we'll all be slaves to technology, just a matter of time for that. ;p

After the long walk in the gallery, we exit the place to find ourselves at the middle of a cafe. Quite cool and nice ambience cafe, and the things there are expectedly priced....pricey. :) But our dear kids had a good time looking and talking under the comfort of the airconditioning there and looking out at the view of the bridge and nice sea and all.
They even exclaimed that they have seen some water creature in the sea. Which I doubt cos' I saw nothing after standing there for 20 minutes. I think I must have been cheated

Some pictures of me in the gallery and with my favorite number 7. I totally adore 7. that's like my register number for 4 years in primary and secondary school okay , don't play play. And I love the shot on the bench. Nice or what! The background wallpaper is super chio to the max.
the 7 is the 7th point of the Marina barrage stuffs but I didn't bother reading. I was more interested in what the kids were doing at some points of time cos' it was really amusing.

& of course, there were games. One of it was the "smash each other balloons" and the other was some "hulahup " thingy. The first one was rather interesting but the second one receive quite a large number of whines and grumbles and complains.
"why like that?"
" This game so lame, so boring"

Another of my favoritest group:) The most sporting group ever to stop and pose of a picture in the quickest time ever and are such a joy to be with. Although at times, you see kids disappearing from their groups to go join their clique but they were still relatively "guai" and discipline that we don't really have to yell.

Mark the day off with group photos again.

"And yes, there are things I aren't happy about, but I have decided that whatever you say doesn't count and I don't care. I am respecting you because you are a authority figure not because of anything else. "
Anyway, to end this off interestingly, guess who said this:
" She wanna call my dad, I press the number for her lah "
