DEAR DIARY ;
I had to wake up early today to accompany my aunt to visit the doctor.
While waiting for our number to be called, one elderly lady caught my attention. I think she is around 60, with short white curls and she looks really weak. Beside this, she was on wheelchair. Aunt casually commented that the worse a person can be is to be on wheelchair because she has to depend on others.
It was only when I walked near the granny that I spotted two Malays behind pushing her with a shirt that has a logo that says -
Salvation Army Peace Haven. Then I realized..this granny was from a nursing home. In that instance, I stopped thinking about how pitiful this granny is but thank God for blessing her... that's because Peace Haven aims to provide "
Professional Care in a Christian Environment".
Thank God that she is fortunate enough to have people around who are willing to care for her, bring her to the doctors and love her even if she is old and very dependent on others.
Hoping that all the old folks out there will be cared for all the same.
