DEAR DIARY ;

Went to Singapore Choral Consort Concert just now with my family and relatives to support my brother, good music and Mr Nelson Kwei. If you are interested to know who he is , please go to Yahoo! and enter at the search engine - Nelson Kwei. Sure got results! (;

Let you all in on a secret - I've been wanting to see Nelson Kwei in person after hearing a lot about him from my brother. Luckily, I wasn't disappointed. Choral Consort was fabulous, I enjoyed totally.Especially when I hear the bass and soprano. Shiok! :D

Anyway, because it is late now and I badly want to sleep and I have band tomorrow and I am feeling lazy, I won't go into details but leave it for the next post. (;

Before I go off I shall share with you something mean about my Dad..
We were like closing when the lift door when two rather plump mother and daughter tried to squeeze in. Fyi, the lift was already packed with 12 of us inside.

The mother and daughter conversation:
Mom: Try to squeeze in lah, sure can one
Daughter : Don't want lah
(Mom and Daughter gets in)
Mom: See. Can what!
After 5 seconds... the lift makes the "sorry , overload noise"
Inside the lift, we were all trying hard to not be mean and laugh.. but apparently Dad wasn't really feeling too kind today. He laughed so loud even before the lift door closed.

And because laughing is contagious, we all laughed too.
Okay, I feel so bad now. I should go to my room, hide under the blanket and reflect. :/

*Fyi = For your information*

DEAR DIARY ;

I don't normally watch channel 8 variety shows because I find TVB channels much more interesting. However, life transformer is one show that I would rush back to catch. Not because I am sadistic - love seeing unfortunate people, but because its reality.

Hosted by Christopher Lee and Quan Yi Fong, it is one of the most meaningful show of its kind portraying reality as compared with those charity fund raising event. Not only does it reveals with honesty the struggles people are facing, it goes on to help the people and even follow up with them and even showing snippets of the process.

This show is very dear to the heart and I hope it would be not just a show to increase viewer ship and rake up sympathy among the viewers but one that sincerely reaches out to the less fortunate in seeking to transform their life or help them improve in terms of the lifestyle and financial status.

It feels kind of sad to see people give up on themselves but yet again, thats when they find people who patiently help them along and hope that one day they would stand up again.

Because we are so blessed, let us be a blessing to the others. (;
Catch Life transformer, every Monday @ 8pm (:

DEAR DIARY ;

Last weekend was horribly tiring that my leg muscles, hand and body is aching now.

I went for some tree top walk with the English service congregation and it was disgusting. It's either mud path or stone path or some uneven roads and a lot a lot of upslope! The only thing that caught my eyes was the orange & blue bird that I spotted along the way with the kids. (;

Don't worry, I still took quite a lot of photos because the kids wanna pose! (; & the companions really did make things a whole lot better. (; We laugh, talk, joke and then start posing again. Damn cool!

Tree top walk path however, scare the hell out of me. It is so damn high and shaky that I thought the path is so going to drop and I'm so going to die. I was quivering all the way, thank God I am back and I'm alive! ;p

Straight after that, we had band. Change me, Change the world sounds so awesome. I think the actual thing would be so neat. The melody is seriously wow, nice and catchy..although it can get rather challenging as well. But nevermind, practice makes perfect mah!!!

On Sunday - Had to reach church at 8am so woke up at 6plus to get ready and all. Straight after church, headed to Bedok for yummy Aston's and to get my brother's clothes, pants and shoes and another 4 suits for dad.. and then home to paint. Painting is such a tedious job, got to climb up and down, move things here and there and the worse of all is the cleaning up!

Did painting with dad from 2plus all the way to 12mn. We were really really knocked out after the rooms are done. Mom's room was furnished with Cotton candy color, which mine was a mixture of that and Pink blossom. It look really awesome in the end - (with plenty much sense of achievement) and I had glow in the dark stickers on the wall. So me! Pink and Pink..totally neat! (;

P/S : I didn't know beautifying your room, choosing furnitures, measuring space and etc can be so much fun! (;

That really makes up my horribly tired weekend. I am so glad its done..so I can have my afternoon nap next week. Hooray to rest! (;

DEAR DIARY ;

If you have a ultra super duper good memory and I mentioned about my brother helping out in church children's choir in my lost in thoughts post.

Speaking of which, I am very amazed that he still want to carry on helping out and seems to be enjoying the job very much. Just last Sunday, I spotted both my brother and cousin (Gordon) - both 15years old playing catching with the kids.

It's seriously a rare sight and the both of them were laughing and smiling so beautifully that I wished I could find a camera to capture down that moment (my camera was at the canteen). They were like little kids again.

I just hope he would find the joy of serving. (;

P/S : I just can't deny that he is more musically inclined than me.

DEAR DIARY ;

Show a little love, a little kindness and the world gets better!

Yesterday night I learn something..from my dad. Come to think of it, I think I've already learn a lot from him. Haha! Anyway, we were out to buy iron board when we saw this blind lady selling tissues along the corner. I've been observing her for quite a while realizing that nobody actually really stops to show kindness.

But just as I wanted to ask Dad for a dollar, he came over to me handing me two bucks to purchase tissues from the lady before making his way to the busker at the MRT station.

Although Dad may not be as educated as the people who are streaming down from the escalators of the MRT deck in suits or office wear, he is much more richer and smarter than anyone of them. & the reason is simply because he appreciates life and emotions. He feels for the people around him and take pity for the unfortunate.

Which makes me really wonder - What are we actually doing? Why are we often so busy that we often overlook certain small details in our life or pass by them without stopping. Sometimes, its these from the heart gestures that really makes things better.. not the material stuff that we desire.

I encourage you , everyone of you..to stop the next time you see them and even if you don't have a dime for them, mutter a word of prayer of them and thank God he blessed you so much.

DEAR DIARY ;

I realized blogging requires discipline.. and apparently, I'm having a lack of it. (so I'm updating now)

I'm into Gokusen 3 again! (; no matter how many times I have already watched it, I still loved it. Action, comedy and a little teeny bit of what-life-is. Just this kind of sweet little touch to make me melt.

This is really a aspiring show.. bringing reminders gently that thats what the world is about as well. If all teachers were so inspiring and determine, our education system would rock socks.

But of cos' first of all, people must recognize the important role of an educator. Because what a teacher teaches, or bring across would mould the student to be who they are long way down the road. & students should start learning to treasure the fabulous days they have in secondary school and enjoy learning , not whats in the textbook..but about life and how it really matter.

P/S : Look at the pictures. Don't you think the cast look better and better. (;
I love the continuation of Gokusen. I hope it never stops, cos' I won't get sick of watching it again.
